Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko exchanged brief views on the situation around Armenia, within the framework of the meeting of the leaders of the Eurasian Economic Union in Astana, said Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov.

“They talked several times just yesterday within the framework of the meeting. There was a brief exchange of views on Armenia, but there was no substantive conversation, there was simply no time,” Peskov told reporters Friday, answering the question of whether the topic of Armenia was raised in the conversations between Putin and Lukashenko.

“But at the same time, during the informal dinner, they all had a chance to have a great conversation together, there was quite a long conversation,” added the Kremlin spokesperson.
