Currently, a recount is taking place in various polling stations. In a number of polling stations, we have appealed for a recount, and in addition to us, various opposition political units have also petitioned with this demand. MP Ishkhan Saghatelyan, who is on the electoral list of the opposition "Armenia" bloc, told this to a press conference Tuesday regarding the results of Sunday’s National Assembly (parliament) elections.

"In the coming days, by the end of the week, this recount will take place in a number of polling stations across the republic. It is obvious that there are discrepancies between the minutes in the polling stations and the data posted on the CEC [i.e. the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia] website; that is, we have a signed and sealed protocol from a polling station, which reflects different data, and the CEC has different data. (...). The CEC interprets this as a ‘technical error.’

A very important recording here that the CEC website is periodically disrupted, and this data and we are unable to compare our minutes with the results posted on the website.

We have the minutes of all 2,005 [election] precincts and we are summarizing this data. We expect certain changes as a result of the recount, we cannot conduct a recount throughout the entire territory of the republic, but our colleagues have also petitioned for a recount in those [election] precincts where they clearly saw or realized that such [electoral] violations may have occurred,” Saghatelyan said.

He informed that the “Armenia” bloc alone has petitioned for a recount at about two dozen election precincts.

“We are also going to petition to the Constitutional Court to challenge the election results, the team is working on this. It is obvious that the elections were held under pressure, not free, not fair conditions, there are numerous facts for that, the package is being prepared, and after the CEC announces the final results, we will also follow that path.

Obviously knowing who is sitting in the Constitutional Court, knowing their constraints and the fact that they are essentially an appendage of the [incumbent Armenian] authorities, but despite all this, we will enter the Constitutional Court with weighty facts,” Saghatelyan said.
