Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan on Wednesday had a telephone conversation with Benjamin Haddad, the minister delegate for European affairs in the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
First, Haddad congratulated the Armenian deputy foreign minister on the parliamentary elections held in Armenia in accordance with high democratic standards and on the victory, the Armenian foreign ministry informs.
Subsequently, the interlocutors discussed joint work aimed at further deepening the strategic partnership between Armenia and France, and emphasized the importance of consistently implementing the priorities and implementing the programs stipulated in the joint declaration on strategic partnership signed by the leaders of the two countries. In this context, the need to promote business ties, expand investment cooperation, and increase the amount of trade between Armenia and France was particularly stressed.
The parties exchanged views also on the Armenia-European Union partnership agenda, and reflected on measures aimed at expanding Armenia's access to the European market, as well as discussed initiatives aimed at developing regional connectivity and the latest developments recorded in that context.
