Oil prices are edging up Friday morning after a day of declines, as traders continue to monitor the situation in the Middle East.
Accordingly, September Brent crude oil futures are trading at $76.61 a barrel, up $0.31 (0.41%) from their previous close on the ICE Futures stock exchange in London. They had fallen $1.72 (2.2%) to $76.3 a barrel on Thursday.
And August WTI crude oil futures rose $0.32 (0.44%) to $72.4 a barrel in online trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX).
In the previous trading session, they had decreased by $1.44 (2%) to $72.08 per barrel. Brent may end this week with an increase of about 6, and WTI—5 percent, Reuters reports.
