An additional 57 million 750 thousand drams have been allocated to Armenia’s Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports for the acquisition of land plots required for the construction of a football stadium in Ijevan, the administrative center of Tavush Province, in accordance with UEFA standards. The corresponding decision was adopted at a meeting of the Armenian government on July 16.

It is noted that the adoption of the decision will create the prerequisites for the construction of the stadium ahead of the 2029 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will be held in Armenia.

For the same purposes, 329 million 855 thousand drams had been allocated by a government decision dated December 18, 2025.
