Ahead of the 17th Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity, a field exercise was held on July 14–15, 2026, at the Meridian Expo Center under the scenario of "a CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear) emergency incident during a major public event." Experts from the "Forensic Science Center" SNCO of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia also took part in the exercise.

According to the pre-approved scenario, under conditions of a simulated chemical contamination, the SNCO's experts, in cooperation with staff from the Rescue Service of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs, carried out an examination of the incident site.

During the exercise, existing issues were identified and corrected, and certificates were awarded to the participants.
