The future lies in solar power plants for achieving energy independence and reducing dependence on imported gas and gasoline. However, there is a well-known problem: solar power plants become useless during nighttime hours, and this is the main obstacle preventing us from fully replacing our country's energy imports with solar-generated power. This was written by Narek Karapetyan, a member of the "Strong Armenia" party.

According to him, a major technological breakthrough has occurred in recent months: batteries that store solar energy and distribute it to the population in the evening have started being produced from a raw material that is very abundant in our country — salt.

"Sodium-ion (salt) batteries are very cheap and efficient and can solve our country's energy independence issue. The Indian company Reliance has invested $9 billion in this project and will be able to launch the solution to this problem by the beginning of next year.

The oil era is ending, Azerbaijan's era is ending. All we needed was to have major companies investing in developing this sector. And instead, our country's leader is nationalizing a cement factory and a sports hall built 40 years ago. Fortunately, they're not nationalizing kebab shops yet," Karapetyan added.
