The peoples of Azerbaijan and Iran have always supported each other in difficult times, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev wrote on X.
"Against the backdrop of the recent events in our region, Azerbaijan has once again demonstrated its support for the brotherly Iranian people," Aliyev noted, and thanked Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
