Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will discuss bilateral agenda issues in the Kyrgyz capital city Bishkek, within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit.

In his comments to Vesti, Russian president’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov spoke about the upcoming meeting. The reporter drew attention to the fact that Pashinyan’s visit to Bishkek takes place against the backdrop of a dual agenda, when arrests of the opposition members are being carried out in Armenia, as well as after statements that relations between Yerevan and Moscow have changed.

“This is a great opportunity to discuss this at the highest level,” Peskov noted. The reporter asked whether the presidents would discuss the above-mentioned issues. “Of course, definitely,” the Kremlin spokesperson replied. "The partnership between Russia and Armenia meets the interests of both peoples," Peskov added.
