Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that Russia-Iran relations are developing steadily in all directions.
The Russian president stated this during a meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, TASS reports.
"As you know, we use every opportunity to meet, communicate, and hold consultations. Russian-Iranian friendly relations are developing steadily in all directions, in accordance with the letter and spirit of the comprehensive strategic partnership agreement," the Russian leader told the Iranian president.
Putin stressed that Moscow and Tehran are in constant contact and do not miss opportunities to hold consultations. Pezeshkian on Monday had thanked his Russian counterpart for the position Russia adopted during the conflict between Iran and the US, as well as for the support provided to Tehran in international organizations.
