Terrorist groups are actively adopting the latest technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), stated Acting UN Under-Secretary-General for Counter-Terrorism Alexander Zuev.

According to him, the terrorist threat is changing its face, and criminal groups are increasingly adept at using modern technical means. Terrorism is changing. Terrorist groups are increasingly resorting to new technologies, including AI, and are trying to exploit instability and weak state governance, especially in some regions of Africa, Zuev emphasized.

He stressed that the changing nature of terrorism requires unwavering attention and constant readiness to face new challenges. The announcement was made on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Counter-Terrorism Committee of the UN Security Council.
