For a certain group of persons, property tax benefits for real estate and vehicles owned by property rights in Yerevan have been established—in the form of exemption from tax obligations—in the amount of 58,122,686 drams (about $160,000). The corresponding decision was made at Tuesday’s session of the Yerevan city council.

The opportunity to use these benefits has been given to family members of those who died during the wars in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and Armenia, or while performing combat duties on the line of contact with the adversary, or as a result of the latter’s offensive actions, as well as to families of persons with disabilities of the 1st and 2nd groups.

Benefits have been established also for persons—or their family members—who were captured, missing, or killed in combat operations conducted in defense of Armenia, as well as during combat duty or performing special tasks on the line of contact with the adversary, or as a result of the latter's preemptive actions.
