I hope that as a result of the processes expected in the future, the railway will play a more significant role for the mining sector, which, I hope, will benefit mining companies from an export perspective. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Saturday stated this during the Mining Armenia Forum 2026 in Tsaghkadzor, Armenia.
Pashinyan recalled that the aforesaid is also important from the point of view that the export of mining products from Armenia is already carried out by rail.
He expressed hope that mining companies will export their products via a shorter route.
But at the same time, the Armenian premier complained that the mining sector is calling into question the state's investments in infrastructure, as overloaded vehicles are destroying roads.
The co-organizers of Mining Armenia Forum 2026 are the Mining Forum Development Foundation and the Armenian Mining and Metallurgy Association. The strategic sponsors of the forum, which is being held for the third time, are the Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine and the Lydian Armenia company, and the main sponsors are Ameriabank and Teghout CJSC.
