According to the prosecution, Armenia's second Robert Kocharyan may hinder the ongoing criminal investigation, so it is necessary to keep him in pretrial detention.
And this is so in the case when the former president, as a person subject to state protection, is under the supervision of the State Security Service around the clock.
The Anti-Corruption Court of Armenia on Tuesday will consider the prosecution’s motions to extend the pretrial detentions of Robert Kocharyan and his son, Sedrak, for another two months.
The consideration of the motion with respect to Sedrak Kocharyan is scheduled for 18:00, while regarding Robert Kocharyan is slated for 18:30.
