Sodas and juices cause diabetes to women. A group of scientists led by Professor Frank Hu from Harvard School of Public Health came to that conclusion.
The best options for women are water, fresh coffee and tea, which reduce the risks of diabetes development, MEDdaily reports linking on Reuters. The authors of the research, which lasted ten years and examined over 8,000 women, state: diluting sweet drinks with water is not of any use.
Overall, in 12 years Hu and his colleagues collected information on the diet and general health status of 82,902 American women. During those years in 2,700 cases diabetes did develop. Unsweetened tea or coffee is good alternative for sodas and juices.
