YEREVAN. – The solemn opening ceremony of ‘My Armenia’ pan-Armenian festival organized by the Armenian Ministry of Diaspora will take place on Friday evening at Cascade Complex in Yerevan. Armenian Government Officials, MPs, public figures and intellectuals will be present at the opening.

Armenian Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan will give an opening speech. A concert will be given during the event. 11 dance groups from 7 countries are to perform.

‘My Armenia’ Festival is to be a culture holiday in the motherland and will be a continuous event.

The Festival has over 1,300 participants. For the first time the Festival is being organized not for one week but will last longer. It is divided according to different art spheres.

1. Dancing days – June 29 – July 10

2. Chorus days – August 9-14

3. Solo performances – July 30 – August 5

4. Pan-Armenian Duduk Festival – September 14-18.

The aim of the festival is to strengthen the connections between Armenia, Asrtsakh and the Diaspora and to contribute to the development of the Armenian unique culture.

Artists from all over the Armenian Diaspora will participate in the festival.
