YEREVAN. – Expert Arkadi Grigoryan does not believe that the U.S. Embassy’s statement on raising security alert among the American citizens should be accepted as offend for Armenia, the expert told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“Prerequisites of the statement and concern by the American side are understandable, after the murder of an ambassador in the 21st century. At the same time Armenia is not that country. The American side should have known that for the Armenians a diplomat is a guest and such statements are improper in relation to our state,” the expert added.

As it was earlier informed, the U.S. Embassy released a statement on Thursday calling the American citizens to be careful and take corresponding steps for raising level information about security.
