RA President Serzh Sargsyan carries out active, initiative, balanced and correct policy directed to the breakthrough in Armenian foreign policy blockade primarily in relations with Turkey, ruling Republican Party MP Hamlet Harutyunyan said at the Feb. 8 press conference.
He emphasized so far Armenia took no step that might negatively impact Armenia-Turkey relations. “However, I consider that Turkey’s moves are inadequate for the policy conducted by Yerevan,” MP underlined. Harutyunyan reckons that the Protocols’ fate depends neither on parliament nor on Turkey’s political circles, but military establishment and NGOs. “Nonetheless, I believe that Yerevan-Ankara talks will continue and eventually the diplomatic relations will be established,” MP stated.
