YEREVAN. – The Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) has no comments on the meeting between PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan and opposition Heritage Party Chairman Raffi Hovannisian—who is declared runner-up to the winner, incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan, as a result of the presidential election that was conducted on February 18, but who claims to be the real winner in the vote—, National Assembly (NA) PAP Faction Secretary Naira Zohrabyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
And PAP MP Vahe Hovhannisyan, who had attended the first meeting, told Armenian News-NEWS.am that there is no clear agreement on the date for the next talk.
“We do not rule out a meeting, [but] it depends on the level. I don’t think Tsarukyan and Hovannisian will meet soon, but I do not rule out any talk on the level of [NA] factions, or authorized persons [of PAP and Heritage],” the PAP MP said.
As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, at the initiative of Raffi Hovannisian, a talk was held on March, at the PAP Central Office, with Gagik Tsarukyan. Initially, a private closed talk was held and, subsequently, it was agreed to continue the meeting with an extended format, the PAP press service had informed.
“An agreement was reached on cooperation toward surmounting the current political crisis, including offering special solutions,” the press release of Raffi Hovannisian’s campaign headquarters had stated, in its turn, in particular.
