It is not on further Armenia-Turkey normalization process, but on the possibility of the changes in the USA-Turkey-Russia-EU configuration, that the Armenian-Turkish protocols’ future depends, the Parliament member Victor Dallakyan stated on February 23.

This is the reason why “abrupt movements” – at least until this mid-April – are forbidden in the context of the Armenian-Turkish protocols. “It is noteworthy that it is not the nation that lost 1,500,000 people, but the one that committed Genocide that sets preconditions. This is a unique instance in world history,” Dallakyan said. He stressed that the Armenian Parliament should abstain from ratifying, declining or amending the protocols for the next two months. He proposed that the Armenian Parliament address a message to the world’s parliaments, which would underline the Armenian Parliament’s commitment to the principle of establishing relations with Turkey without any preconditions, within a reasonable timeframe, as well as the unacceptability of official Ankara’s attempts to take advantage of the normalization process for denying the Armenian Genocide.
