“Georgia will welcome any agreement between fraternal Armenia and Turkey,” Georgian Ambassador to RA Grigol Tabatadze stated in March 11 interview, commenting on the statements by a number of Georgian and Armenian politicians and experts, that official Tbilisi is uninterested in Armenia-Turkey border opening.
He called these statements and assessments results of several hot-brains’ activities. “For instance, they say that Georgia feared the prospects of Armenia-Turkey border opening and opened Upper Lars checkpoint. We did not fear anything and did so at the request and the mediation of Armenia.”
