Turkish Premier Erdogan's statement in London on possible deportation of 100.000 Armenians from the country put large part of Turkish opposition against him. In this case the matter is about Deniz Baykal, leader of Turkish opposition, holding majority seats in the parliament.

At the Republican People's party Council session inter alia Prime Minister's statement was discussed as well. “Erdogan's words are unacceptable, dangerious and improper. People came to work cannot be used as bargaining chip, it conflicts with people's rights,” Baykal said.

As it became known, the party's session decided to demand that relations with Armenia will be put on Turkish Parliament's agenda.

Interestingly, from the very beginning of Armenia-Turkey reconciliation Baykal's party was opposing the process without settlement of Karabakh conflict in advance and always demanded to recall the Protocols from Turkish Parliament.

In addition, Erdogan’s statement aroused serious concern of Armenians illegally working and living in Turkey, Turkish Netgazete website reports.

Turkish daily presents opinion of several residents of Kumkapi district, Istanbul who claim that do not wish to leave Turkey and ask Erdogan not to deport them.
