Armenia- Moldova friendly will be played on August 12. Moldavian coaching staff has already announced team’s line-up. Armenian national team coach Vardan Minasyan declared that 26 players are included in Armenian national team enlarged list, however only 20 players will participate in the training sessions starting August 9.

“We are concerned that the majority of our legionnaires do not have permanent play practice in their teams. From the sporting view point I consider it would be appropriate not to invite them. However, on the other hand, playing in the national team will increase their rating,” Minasyan said.

As to the coach, the arrival of Edgar Manucharyan, once the most promising Armenian player, for this match is 99 percent excluded as he has not found a team. Unlike Ararat Arakelyan, Armenian midfielder of FC Metallurg (Donetsk), who is going to participate in the sessions and match, despite not having play practice.

Minasyan admitted there would be new players in the national team but added: “Let FFA name them.”

He said that, if problems with documents are settled, they will also invite Yeghia Yavuryan (presently playing in Israel championship), and Barsegh Kirakosyan (a defender of FC Khimki from Russia). As to Minasyan, he demonstrated a rather high level of performance inthe Russian Championship against FC Amkar.

He also underlined midfielder Henrikh Mhkitaryan’s achievements in FC Metallurg.
