YEREVAN. – The statement of Kazakhstan’s president Nursultan Nazarbayev on Customs Union borders in connection with Karabakh issue is unacceptable for Armenia, representative of the ruling party said.
Galust Sahakyan, head of the Republican Party of Armenia parliamentary faction, said the statement is connected with friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan and is not a surprise, as Nazarbayev periodically raises issues on Karabakh.
Sahakyan noted that he is not aware of the details of roadmap on Armenia’s accession to Customs Union that was signed on Wednesday. The politician assured that the roadmap will be published and will be put for public debate.
Earlier Nazarbayev said Kazakhstan is ready to sign roadmap on Armenia’s accession to Customs Union but with a particular opinion, as this demands explanations on the Customs Union borders in connection with the problem of Nagorno-Karabakh.
