YEREVAN. – The heavy snowfall affected the work of Zvartonts, international airport of the Armenian capital Yerevan. However, since morning the airport has resumed normal operations.
Several flights arriving in Yerevan over the night were sent to alternative airports, spokesperson Gevorg Abrahamyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
In particular, the Warsaw flight landed in Tbilisi, while two Moscow flights – in Mineralnye Vody, a city in Russia’s south. Several flights landed with delay that in turn caused delay in departures.
“At the moment there are no obstacles for resuming normal operation of the airport,” he said.
