Yesterday’s Sagsyan-Erdogan meeting in Washington leaves an impression that the sides were more focused on Armenian-Turkish relations than Karabakh issue, Pan-Armenian national movement representative Hovhannes Igityan told NEWS.am.

According to him, in the course of Washington meeting Erdogan restated impossibility of Armenia-Turkey Protocols’ ratification without progress in Karabakh peace process. He finds absurd proposal of both sides to delegate foreign ministers to accelerate the ratification process. Igityan deems that because of its weak diplomacy Armenia unwillingly brings grist to Ankara’s mill. Politician considers blundering Armenia’s consent to accept Erdogan’s proposal to meet in Washington. He reckons that it is simply hazardous to speak of any dividends in Sarsgyan-Erdogan meeting.
