Turkey and Azerbaijan are used to mend relations with third countries based on their views and if the moves and statements of the latters go beyond the limits of Baku or Ankara imagination, they automatically increase the number of both states' enemies, National and Statistical research centre expert Manvel Sargsyan told NEWS.am.

According to him, this pained reaction was entailed by the fact that unlike Armenian president Ilham Aliyev was not invited to the nuclear security summit in Washington as well as U.S.’s reluctance to link Armenia-Turkey reconciliation with Karabakh peace process. “In a burst of temper Baku seeks to show Washington that it should be accounted for as well, basically exaggerating its role in regional gas and oil projects. Azerbaijan wants to hint that in case of need might toughen its stance in U.S. involvement in them. In addition, it alludes that can intensify its relations with Moscow and Tehran obviously assuming that from this prospect Washington will start to tremble. But once Baku &‘gets bitten’ at first opportunity, it will come round immediately,” the expert concluded.
