At the Israel’s 62nd anniversary reception in Ankara, U.S. Ambassador to Turkey James Jeffrey said he is hopeful that Armenia-Turkey reconciliation will continue in any case.
According to CNNTurk, after learning of Yerevan’s statement, Jeffrey met with Turkish Foreign office representatives and expressed his discontent with Armenia’s decision. He added that they wish the process to go ahead and addressing the Turkish side said: “To have the Protocols ratified, efforts should be made.”
