YEREVAN. – The new government must be able to ensure economic growth and continuity of reforms, and restore the trust of our citizens.  

President Serzh Sargsyan stated the aforesaid Friday at his talk with the employees of the Central bank of Armenia.

“I believe there will be substantial changes in government. There is a need to look at the existing problems, the domains in a new way. 

“The Prime Minister’s resignation was a resignation, and not coercion; this was the situation,” Sargsyan specifically noted.

As per the President, six years is a long time for a PM.

“It is the most difficult, the cruelest, perhaps I’m not saying the right word, but the most ungrateful job. I believe, however, that in about twenty years it will be much easier to do a lot of work,” Serzh Sargsyan stated, in particular. 

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan on Thursday offered his resignation to President Serzh Sargsyan, and the President approved the PM’s resignation.
