May 3, Asian Development Bank (ADB) declared of solar energy project launching generating 3.000 MW energy within next 3 years.

According to ADB Director General Rajat Nag, considering the forecast of almost doubled increase in demand for electricity in Asian-Pacific region by 2030, there is an acute need in uncovering of innovation techniques for energy production, UzDaily reports.

Asian Solar Energy Initiative (ASEI) aims at uncovering and developing large-scale projects on solar energy, leading to production of 3000MW energy by 2012. ADB plans to allocate €2.25 bn for the project that will direct €6.75 bn investments into solar energy production within same period.
