The 84-year-old descendant of Armenian Genocide survivors Sitki Eken said Turkish PM's condolences to Armenians are not enough.

Eken, a resident of Diyarabakir, said his family was saved by an officer during the 1915 events. The old man told Firat agency that till his 30th birthday he was the only Armenian in Basibuyuk village where he was born. He was granted an apartment in the church where he lives with his wife.

As to Erdogan's statement, the 84-year-old man believes Turkish PM must apologize to Armenians.

“The state must apologize to Armenians,” he emphasized.
