YEREVAN. – Candidate for the post of Armenian parliament's speaker Galust Sahakyan promised to be available for reporters.

Talking to reporters in Monday, Sahakyan said he does not like the idea of body guards accompanying him everywhere, but added that this is required by law.

The politician expressed confidence that he will be elected president of the National Assembly during the vote on Monday. He assured it is essential to secure backing of all parliamentary factions, not only the ruling party.

Armenia's ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) nominated Galust Sahakyan as a president of the National Assembly. RPA has majority in the parliament, and Galust Sahakyan is expected to be elected during today's vote.
