YEREVAN. – Secretary of the Republican Party of Armenia parliamentary group Hovhannes Sahakyan nominated Galust Sahakyan for the post of parliament speaker during the Monday session.
Opposition MP Hrant Bagratyan came forward as a candidate. In turn, secretary of Heritage faction Tevan Poghosyan nominated Ruben Hakobyan, leader of the faction.
The elections will be held by secret ballot.
