YEREVAN. – The European Union (EU) Association Agreement cannot be divided into separate parts, and the Ukrainian precedent cannot be applied in the case of Armenia. 

Armen Ghazaryan, Press Secretary of the Embassy of Poland in Armenia, told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am. 

Ghazaryan explained that Ukraine was obligated to also sign the agreement on the creation of a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area, whereas this will be impossible in Armenia’s case.

In his words, however, it is apparent that Armenia-EU relations are continuing to develop.

“The legal basis for these relations needs to be developed on the basis of the joint declaration which was adopted between Armenia and EU, in November 2013, in [the Lithuanian capital city] Vilnius,” stressed the press secretary of the Embassy of Poland in Armenia.
