YEREVAN. – The categories between a European Union (EU) representative and a German ambassador are so different that the latter’s announcement cannot serve as a basis for conclusions, political technologist Karen Kocharyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Kocharyan reflected on German Ambassador to Armenia Reiner Morell’s recent statement that there still are chances for signing the political section of the Armenia-EU Association Agreement.

“Attempts can be made to understand the situation [solely] when Europe repeats what Germany’s ambassador to Armenia said, [when] they speak at those same levels where our country is qualified as a non-first-class country, when at least Germany’s FM—let alone Chancellor Angela Merkel—announces about the chances of signing the political section of the Association Agreement,” the political technologist specifically noted.
