YEREVAN. – Great Britain expresses its support to Armenia’s cooperation with the European Union (EU) and wants for this cooperation to continue, Katherine (Kathy) Leach, the Ambassador of Great Britain to Armenia, told Armenian News-NEWS.am.  

Leach stated the aforesaid in response to a query on the chances for signing the political section of the Armenia-EU Association Agreement, thus developing the bilateral political interaction.    

The British diplomat added that searches are conducted to find new foundations for Armenia-EU cooperation.   

“We appreciate the work that has been done on the road to preparing the Association Agreement. But I believe—the EU Ambassador already has said—now work will be done, with an appropriate approach, toward a new agreement, new grounds for partnership. And this is what we want to work around over the next several months,” Ambassador Leach noted.
