YEREVAN. – The Yerevan Zoo—of Armenia’s capital city—held its annual Season Opening Day on Thursday.

Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, together with his wife and children, attended the official opening ceremony.

The Yerevan residents’ popular recreation area welcomed the new season with new animals and an improved appearance. 

Within the framework of the festive occasion, various events were organized for the little visitors of the zoo. 

Margaryan also toured the Yerevan Zoo, and its director briefed the mayor—and on a model—the long-term development plan of the zoo.

Speaking to reporters, Taron Margaryan first congratulated everyone on the International Workers’ Day and the season opening of the Yerevan Zoo, and stressed that the development programs of the zoo will be ongoing.
