The Culture and Tourism Ministry of Turkey is preparing to publish a book, in Armenian and Turkish, which will include the works of great Armenian troubadour Sayat Nova.
A state-funded Armenian language book will be published for the first time in Turkey’s history, Sabah daily of Turkey reported.
It is also noted that the book will appear in bookstores in June.
Although the preparation of this collection of works had started two years ago, the pro-government Sabah daily presented this development as PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s yet another “kind” step towards Armenians after his statement on the anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
