YEREVAN. – The European Union (EU) needs to find alternative measures to allow some opportunities to and include Armenia, but by more realistically accepting this country’s limitations and obligations as a partner.    

Regional Studies Center Director, political analyst Richard Giragosian told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am. 

In his words, from this angle, Armenia’s capability and its leaders’ determination to withstand the new Russian pressures and constraints are a challenge for official Yerevan.

“Therefore the Eastern Partnership countries’ fragility and vulnerability against Russia’s intention of provoking conflict is a priority for Armenia and the EU, alike,” Giragosian stressed.     

As reported earlier, German Ambassador to Armenia Reiner Morell recently announced that there still are chances for signing the political section of the Armenia-EU Association Agreement.
