YEREVAN. – The ruling Republican Party of Armenia National Assembly (RPA NA) Faction convened a meeting, during which MPs Vahram Baghdasaryan and Gagik Melikyan were elected Faction Head and Secretary, respectively. 
The RPA NA Faction session lasted thirty minutes.

NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan nominated the candidates for these positions. 

The nominations were discussed within the RPA, too, and subsequently approved by the party and President—and RPA Chairman—Serzh Sargsyan. 

The positions for the RPA NA Faction Head and Secretary had become vacant when Faction Head Galust Sahakyan and Secretary Hovhannes Sahakyan were elected NA Speaker and Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs, correspondingly.
