YEREVAN. – Armenia Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov said Turkey protocols are in competence of president who in his statement on April 24 said the signature will once expire.
Sharmazanov recalled that official Yerevan had repeatedly noted preconditions for normalization of Armenian- Turkish relations are unacceptable.
“Moreover , Armenia emerged from the process of normalization of as a strong and reliable partner. During the process, we were able to better understand problems of Armenian- Turkish relations, proved that the fact of Genocide is not a matter for discussion, that the commission of historians on the Armenian Genocide can not exist, that there can be no preconditions for normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations, it can in no way be related to the Karabakh issue,” Sharmazanov told students on Thursday.
Armenia has received the support of the international community, while Turkey's actions were condemned.
“It's a shame when in the 21st century, the country seeking EU membership is imposing a blockade on the neighboring state, is not lifting notorious Article 301 and is talking with neighbors in the language of threats. Despite a statement of zero problems with neighbors, Turkey resets its good relations with many of its neighbors,” he concluded.
