YEREVAN. – The six elements for the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, and which OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair James Warlick had raised in his recent speech, are nothing new, Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan told reporters on Friday.

“As it is issued, you may familiarize yourselves with these points from the co-chairs’ announcement,” Kocharyan added.

In his words, the meaning and wish of Warlick’s speech is that a progress be achieved in the settlement of the Karabakh conflict.

“Two conditions are necessary. First, there must be a climate of trust between the [conflicting] parties. Second, the main party to the conflict, the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, [must] be fully involved in the negotiation process.

“[But] as long as [official] Baku obstructs these good wishes, achieving progress is unlikely to be accomplished,” the Armenian deputy FM specifically stated.
