YEREVAN. – Business trips of Armenian MPs should not disturb the work of parliament, Speaker Galust Sahakyan said on Monday responding to the question by opposition ANC deputy.
Aram Manukyan asked why the Armenian delegation of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) had not left for a summit in Athens where Armenian MPs had to deliver reports.
In response, Speaker Sahakyan noted that absence of the deputies affects work of the parliament.
“Business trips are necessary, but only when parliament's work is not disturbed. We want to continue working in this way,” he emphasized.
