YEREVAN. – Armenia-France relations have reached a unique level, President Serzh Sargsyan said during a joint press conference with his French counterpart Francois Hollande.

“Close cooperation was established between around 35 cities and regions of Armenia and France. Besides, France implemented a number of successful projects in Armenia. Today we signed another seven agreements to strengthen economic ties,” he said.

President Sargsyan assured that during the two-day state visit of Francois Hollande, the leaders discussed key issues.

Recalling that French investments in Armenia exceed $1 billion, Sargsyan noted that Carrefour trade chain will  join around 80 other companies with French capital that are operating in Armenia.

On Tuesday the presidents are expected to visit the construction site of Carrefour supermarket.
