YEREVAN. – Francois Hollande said France is committed to the right of territorial integrity of states, and position on Crimea was guided by this principle.
However, when it comes to Armenia, the country is in special geopolitical environment, he emphasized, adding that this was the reason Armenia decided to develop relations with Russia.
French president noted that he has no aim to condemn, but tried to better understand Armenia's position during his visit. Hollande assured that no one wants to make Armenia suspend economic relations with Russia.
“EU must realize that Armenia lives in special conditions, and Armenia needs special process of convergence with Europe,” he said.
