Azerbaijan has assumed chairmanship at the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe (CoE), and for the firs time ever since becoming a member of this organization in January 2001.
The chairmanship was handed over to Azerbaijan at the 124th Session of the CoE Committee of Ministers, which opened in the Austrian capital city of Vienna on May 6, reported APA news agency of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan will chair the organization until November 15.
