The growing death toll in the coal mine explosion in Soma region of Turkey’s Manisa Province has forced to collect coffins even from the villages of the province.

The transferring of the bodies of those who died as a result of Tuesday’s explosion has caused problems for the provincial authorities, who were forced to start collecting coffins from the villages, too, reported the Hürriyet daily of Turkey.  

In addition, hearses and coffins were sent also from the neighboring provinces.

According to different sources, about 350 miners have died as a result of a substation explosion in the coal mine. The rescue efforts are still in progres
