YEREVAN. – Norway’s new Ambassador to Armenia, Leidulv Atle Namtvedt (diplomatic residence in Moscow), on Thursday presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.

The President congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic mission in Armenia, informed the Press Office of the President. Sargsyan also expressed the hope that the Norwegian diplomat will assume this high mission with a commitment to do his utmost to develop bilateral ties and collaboration between the two countries.

The interlocutors underscored the need to continue collaborating within international organizations, and to invigorate interparliamentary relations. But they shared the view that there is a need to expand the bilateral legal framework.
President Sargsyan highly appreciated Norway’s assistance and development programs for Armenia, especially in energy and cadastre.

The parties also reflected on Armenian-Norwegian relations in the humanitarian domain.
