Russia has been named the worst place in Europe for LGBTI rights, a survey shows.

The survey conducted by the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association (ILGA) showed Russia is the worst place for LGBT rights and scored only six percent. Azerbaijan, Armenia and Monaco are not far from Russia, and scored seven, nine and ten percent respectively, the Independent reported.

Neighboring Georgia (26%) and Turkey (14%) showed better indicators.

UK scored 82% and was ranked number one in Europe, followed by Belgium, Spain and the Netherlands.

However, the report's authors stressed that discrimination against LGBTI people continues to occur all across Europe.
