YEREVAN. – Polish Ambassador to Armenia Zdzisław Raczyński does not agree with the view that Europe is ready to turn a blind eye to the human rights violations in Azerbaijan, and for the sake of energy resources.

The respective question was posed in connection with Azerbaijan’s recent manhunt for the “spies of Armenia.” 
At a press conference on Friday, the Poland ambassador stated that neither the European Union (EU) nor he nor his colleague in Azerbaijan are “turning a blind eye” to this matter.

“We are concerned by this; the EU’s position is clearly expressed,” Raczyński informed.

And commenting on OSCE Minsk Group US Co-Chair James Warlick’s recent speech on the Karabakh conflict, the diplomat noted that Warlick had just summed up the respective events and statements of the previous years.
“As an OSCE Minsk Group member, maybe he wants to give a new impetus to the settlement [of the conflict],” the ambassador noted.

Zdzisław Raczyński added that Armenia FM Edward Nalbandian has given an adequate response with respect to readiness for a constructive dialogue.
